Finally got my May Glossybox! Last day of May!
I guess Glossybox is targeting shipping for the end of the month now. For the past 3 months I have received my box on the very last day of the month. Not a problem for me, but from what I can see on Glossybox's FB page, some people are a little agitated by that. K





I have never heard of this cosmetic brand before. The concealer is a cream pot. It is an oil-free mulit-use product that can be used as a primer, concealer, foundation and brightener. I thought this might be a tad dark for me but when I swatched it blended perfectly into my skin. Plus we got a card for 25% off a first order at www.boxxcosmetics.com. It comes as a pan. I am assuming somewhere on the  boxx website there is a freedom palette for this.  I will test this out further and do a more in-depth review.

Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo - full size.

In March, Glossybox sent out a Sebastian Hairspray. I keep it in my drawer at work. It is almost empty ~~sigh~~  I had hoped to save it for this summer for when I travel around but no I had to use it all K. This volumizing shampoo is full size! I love getting hair products in my boxes!


Perfect timing Glossybox! Sandals are out and we need some nourishment. One thing I cannot stand is gnarly feet in the summer, on me or other people. Just ewww. Curel is a great brand for moisturizers so I expect good things from this foot cream.

I have been hoping that one of my subscription boxes would get together with Simple and send out some samples! Hehe Wish granted! I know I would have eventually got around to trying Simple but getting a sample first is sooo much better, right?  I know that $10 for a full size isn’t very much but I have a lot of ten dollarish items that I have bought and hated, Now they are sitting in a basket under my bathroom sink...awaiting the Purge. LOL

This polish came in the May Topbox. I was so stoked to receive a Deborah Lippmann polish. My first one! YAY!
Whatever Lola Wants is a celebrity collaboration polish with Kelly Ripa.

Recently, I placed a small order at Fyrinnae.com after seeing a couple posts by Mandy @ Prettymaking. Her swatches were awesome and I fell in love with the lip lustres - specifically Type A. So I just had to place an order for a few mini lip lustres and loose eyeshadows. Like I said before I am so weak to makeup temptation  K ... Makeup addiction is a wonderful thing right?!?? And the minis were reasonably priced.  Resistance is futile!

Today I am just showing you the lip lustre minis - I didn’t want to overwhelm your mind or computer with a tonne of pictures and swatches!

I forgot about this little gem. I got The Real Teal at the beginning of 2011, used it a few times and put it in my nail polish bin (I keep my polish in a small Rubber Maid tub thingy). The other night, I was looking for a simple polish to wear to work and was rummaging through the bin and rediscovered this one J Y

I finally got my first Topbox! And after five months of waiting, I can say it was worth it! Y  YAY! Finally!

                        

Topbox.ca gave members a choice this month between the ‘eco green’ tube or the traditional tube. I opted for the traditional tube for my first box as I wanted to see the original tube myself. I think it is so pretty.  I am going to use it for packing my makeup brushes when I travel this summer. No more squished brushes.

I am excited to try everything that came with the May Topbox.  I did, however, have one issue with my box...

First time-fighting eye cream for the delicate eye area, diminishes fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.
I am hesitant to use any eye cream as I have really sensitive skin under my eyes. Most eye creams make me break out/develop rashes. But I am starting to develop fine lines around my eyes soooo I am going to try it.

Okay I am a total brush whore. I hoard makeup brushes. So this offer excites me. What makes me hesitant to buy a set is the state my Bronzer brush came in. As soon as I picked up the brush to lift out of the Topbox tube, the handle fell off L not cool. I sent an email to Topbox so I will update when I hear back. Other than that, the brush is an incredibly soft natural fiber brush.

Edited to add: Topbox Support responded to my email today and will replace the brush in my June Topbox. Great customer service Topbox. Thank you for the quick response :)

This is my first Deborah Lippmann polish! I like the colour and I will be trying it out this weekend. What Lola Wants is a pearly lilac shimmer polish.  On the bottom of the polish it says Kelly Ripa. So this polish is one of the celebrity collaboration polishes. Kelly Ripa is the host of morning talk show LIVE with Kelly (formerly Regis and Kelly).





Overall I am very happy with my first Topbox – broken brush and all.  It was worth the wait.
I had originally signed up December 2011 and got put on the May Topbox sub list K . From what I hear Topbox has sold out all the way to September?? Yikes!
Yes, I am very happy with this box, the price, the contents blah blah, everything but my broken brush handle LOL. I will definitely continue to subscribe J

Glymm has gone green this month. The outer pink box has been replaced with a white box that has the new Glymm gold logo. Gone is the pink box that the samples were housed. This month, the samples came in a pink nylon makeup bag. Cool can always use a makeup bag :)
Also to note: Glymm has raised its monthly subscription fee to $12 for new subscribers. Current subscribers will continue to pay $10 as long as they stay an active subscriber.
