CLOSED the Balm Nude'Tude Review and Giveaway

I saw this palette used by a few youtubers, emilynoel83 and nvmakeuplover. I loved the colours that came in this ‘neutral’ palette. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore my Naked palette but some days I just want something different. The Nude’Tude palette is neutral but it certainly is not boring.

So after seeing theBalm on Hautelook, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get me some. But things did not go according to plan. After waiting 3 weeks to get an update regarding my order, Hautelook dropped one of the palettes from my order. Then two days later, dropped the rest of my order telling me there was a ‘hazemat’ issue. I was like WTF? Hazemut? Seriously? So I tweeted theBalm to let them know what Hautelook was telling customers. There was no hazemat issue. I am still not sure why they told me that. So I wouldn't be as irate at not getting my order? Short story – done with Hautelook.

Afterwards, I emailed with Erin at theBalm (she is really nice and helpful) and ordered directly from theBalm. In this order, I purchased Meet Matte (review here) and two Nude’Tude palettes.

The Nude'Tude comes in two different packages, Nice and Naughty. The version I got was Feeling Naughty. There are retro naked ladies with their bits and bobs covered up by the shadow pans. I love theBalm packaging. The cardboard palette is sturdy, all shadows are clearly identified and the mirror is awesome. The only thing I thought that could be better was the brush. It seemed a little stiff to me.

The Nude’Tude palette comes with 12 shadows; a variety of light to dark shades, ranging from 4 mattes, 5 shimmers/satins and a 3 frosty ones.

The texture of this palette is in true theBalm fashion, pigmented and buttery. I have only had an issue with Silly. The glitter particles kind of disappear when blended, so pat this shade on.

Silly – burgundy brown with sparkle

Sleek – very dark matte brown
