I was able to redeem $100 worth of product this weekend. YES! I savvy shop at Shopper’s. I usually will only buy items that are on sale AND have bonus Optimum points. So I rack up enough points to do this type of redemption a couple times a year. Anyhoooo, I got a few other sundries, but the majority of my haul was beauty related.

I got the Quo palette based of a reveiw that Halifax @ Sparkled Beauty did (with swatches).  It is a pretty darn good dupe of Urban Decay's Naked palette at a fraction of the cost: Quo $25 vs UD $60 (CDN). I got it for a gift. These things are selling like hotcakes.There was only one left after I grabbed this one O-O.

I really wanted to get Benefit’s She’s so…JetSet or the How to Look Good at Anything kits but they won’t be available for a couple weeks AGGHH!!! Maybe I will just get if from the Sephora site….

Glymm is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) by presenting us with a special pink bag cosmetic bag this month plus a pink ribbon. I did not get a ribbon in my bag but no biggie; I had already bought one at the mall by my work. I have since lost that one L. It is the same thing that always happens with me and Rememberance Day poppies. I always stab myself and lose them several times each season.

What is a ‘plump sheen’? LOL anyway it was a good thing I read this product card because I thought this was a body butter at first. HAHA. I have curly hair so I am very interested if this will work? I do ‘plop’ my hair every once in awhile to get the super curly goodness that I know my hair can deliver. So I am hoping this product will help with that.

This moisturizer will show you skin a good time. With more benefits than you can count, you can be sure to see some drastic results.
To be honest, I couldn’t get past the smell of the other Cyberderm products we received a couple months ago. I can’t really smell the alpine scent in these samples but the this particular sample smells a little industrial to me, like plastic or something. But it does seem pretty moisturizing.

It seems pretty light on the skin and the smell was alright with this sample. I would prefer a higher SPF but 25 is alright.

I usually forgo mascara on my bottom lashes in the mornings because I am in a rush and ALWAYS end up smudging the mascara on my bottom lashes by a too fast application. Maybe this is the answer?

As many of you already know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I wanted to do a mani in honor of my mom. My mom was a breast cancer survivor so it has a personal impact on my life. My mom had her masectomy the day her first grandchild was born. She made me run back and forth between hospitals so I could get updates and film the baby and then bring her the news and the camera. She was out of the hospital the same day her grandson was so she could hold him. Her strength was inspiring.


So I have been sporting my Think Pink nails for a few days now. I did try to draw the pink ribbon on my nails but the ferrel of my one and only nail art brush broke off. I had to redo one nail so I took it as a sign and stopped there. HAHA




I used OPI's La Paz-itively Hot with Deborah Lippman What Lola Wants layered over alternating nails. These two work great together. I did have a hard time trying to capture the goldeny shimmer of What Lola Wants. It looks so good in person.

I am not a fan of ampoules...or perfume tubes. I am clumsy and always end up getting oil everywhere. That is just me...so graceful.  Those that received the Endocare sample did receive an instruction email from Topbox.ca on how to open the ampoules properly. I will need to reread that one!

I think this sampling of shadows of a complete palette is kind of cool. We get to try the shadows to see if we like it enough to spend the $50 on the full sized palette. I think there are probably a few uses from each shadow. Plus the sample card came with step by step instructions for two looks.

This is a lip glaze so it is sheer. I found it a bit sticky but it smelled awesome. Like raspberries. I don't think it was full sized. I couldn't see the size on it but it still is pretty decent sized sample.

I was kind of hoping to get the Stila Prime Pot as I absolutely love my MAC Painterly Paint Pot and  I wanted to compare the two but oh well, I happy with the lip glaze too.

I has a sad...

I received an email this morning from Glossybox.ca regarding a price increase  to the monthly subscription effective October 2012. The price will increase $6 from $15 to $21/mth. Glossybox calls this North American pricing that will put us on par with the American version. With the idea being that we will also get the same quality products as the American version. 

Existing customers:
Glossybox.ca has offered their existing subscribers a discounted price for the October Glossybox. We will get the October box at the old rate of $15 but come November everyone pays $21.

Glossybox is one of my favorite boxes. I am a little sad at the price increase but it is my hope is that the box will bring us more cosmetics and quality beauty samples.
Currently the website still states $15 for a monthly subscription with shipping probably being between Oct 10-16th. 
Some have been vocal about the price increase on the Glossybox.ca facebook page. I will reserve my opionion after the next few boxes. But I am glad I didn't use my glossydots on October. I will save them for November.

A few months ago, I purchased several loose shadow minis from Fyrinnae.com. You actually get quite a bit of loose shadow (1/3 tsp each) in each jar. I finally got around to swatching the loose shadows J.

Fyrinnae is an indie makeup company that prides themselves by being completely unique with their colour formulations. All products are vegan. Fyrinnae is well known for their awesome vibrant colours. You should definitely check out their site. Not a fan of loose shadow? Well Fyrinnae recently released 15 pressed versions of their popular loose shadows.
