Ipsy Glam Bag April 2013
I bit the bullet and signed up for the Ipsy Glam bag.
I like variety in my beauty subs but mostly leaning towards cosmetics. I like
skin and hair care but not when the whole sub it full of it...repeatedly. After
seeing so many great Ipsy Glam bags posted about I had to get in on it.
April’s bag is all about Pretty in Pink. I have to say for my first bag I am super happy! I
find pink to be a great colour for attaining a more youthful appearance when
used right. And I am all for looking more youthful HAHA
The makeup bag is very nice, white with pink trim. I
really like the pink lining inside. But
the bag is white. Me and white do not bode well together. White on me is like a
magnet for dirt and accidents. White purses always end up super dirty, white
shirts end up with my lunch somewhere on the boob area, white pants always seem
to get some stain on them; pen, grass, heck even once my dad’s dog just
finished his business and jumped on my lap. Lots of screaming there HAHA. So
this bag will inadvertently get makeup finger prints all over it. Hopefully
that’s all. HEHE grossed out yet?
The Goodies:
Sation Nail Lacquer in Love at First Bite. ($5.00 USD @store.misspn.com)
Love at First Bite is a peachy pink jelly. It definitely needs
three to four coats for opacity. This is not a colour I have in my stash. It
works really well with my skin tone. I do like the colour but it seemed to take
a loooong time to dry. I swatched it on my thumb and after half an hour it was
still gummy. I am going to try my OPI quick dry drops on it. I can’t wait an
hour for a polish to dry. I gots things to do man!
Sexy Hair Soy
Renewal ($21.95 USD Ulta)
I am looking forward to trying this product. Anything
with Argan Oil in it has to be good right? I have never tried a hair product
with Soy in it yet. I am in love with my Macadamia Nut Oil right now so it will
have to beat that for me to want to repurchase. I know Chatters sell Big Sexy
Hair in Canada. Did I see it at Shoppers Drug Mart? Hmmm I can’t remember for
sure but I think I did...
MICA Beauty
Mineral Eyeshadow in Earth ($14.95 USD @micabeauty.com/$15.00 Cdn
@SpaBoutique.ca)
Very pretty pink
shimmer. I will need to use this over my Pixie Epoxy for sure. I think this will best used for adding
sparkle over another shadow. Since it is a mineral shadow it has many uses;
adding pigmentation to glosses, highlighter etc...
Be a Bombshell
Blush in Sweet Cheeks ($16.00 USD
@beabombshellcosmetics.com)
This medium satin pink blush is my favorite from this
bag. The formula is buttery in texture and super pigmented so you need to apply
lightly. It actually lasts on me longer than most blushes do. I am in love with
this blush so far. I have only had it 3 days LOL. I wish the coupon code was
good for Canada because I would order more now! Like I said LOVE!
L-R: Be a Bombshell in Sweet Cheeks and MICA Beauty eyeshadow in Earth |
So for my inaugural Ipsy Glam Bag, I am ecstatic. Seriously it
is a joy to get makeup. I haven’t been this happy since I got my February Benefit
Topbox. $10 plus shipping = $$ well spent.

The blusher is gorgeous, lovely shade. The Hair Renewal Spray thing sounds cool too, I'd love to see a review?

The blusher was a nice suprise. It looks awesome. Once I try the Sexy Hair Renewal I can give my thoughts on it for sure :)
DeleteI'm excited to try the soy product as well! I saw it at Chatters, but wasn't sure whether I should get the full size so this is perfect! I'm happy you signed up!
ReplyDeleteI do like these types of hair oils/shines. I really need them.
DeleteI actually signed up a year ago for Ipsy but never went thru with the purchase. So I can't even remember if I used an affiliate link or not HAHA. Glad I got this bag!
