Topbox June 2013

My Topbox finally showed up on Friday at my door. I was getting antsy as it was sitting in the Mississauga sorting centre all week. Then BOOM here it was! Plus my Ipsy bag showed up the same day so I was in makeup overload! Always a good thing!

The June Topbox tube was a bit shorter than the norm. It was still the same tube but just about an inch shorter. But it still had some awesome products in it! Wanna see???

Love love getting Benefit in any box and I was pretty excited to see the Sugarbomb gloss. I have been carrying around the Dandelion gloss in my purse for the past month or so as my ‘on the go’ gloss. I like it because it is a squeeze tube gloss. Perfect for on the go. I do find the Ultra Plush glosses good sheer glosses and I also like the smell of them. I am not sure if I would spend $19 on a sheer gloss no matter how good it smelled. But I am cheap hehe so I am happy to get these deluxe samples.

Another Lise Watier product! Last month, we received the lip gloss in Stylista which I totally adore. Bleu Curacao is an icy light blue. I wear all different eyeshadow hues so this light blue doesn’t really scare me. It might not be a shade I will wear everyday but I am glad to try out the formula. I found it works best with primer. It really ‘pops’ as you can see from the swatch. Oh and it is paraben free!

Mascara mascara! LOL I will be adding this to my mascara stash. I have a few on the go right now so I need to get through them first before I open this one. Buuut I might have to bump this one up in the cue though as it is water resistant. I hope that means waterproof! I prefer using waterproof mascaras in the summer for the obvious reasons. Isn’t the tube adorable?.

A travel sized eye lash curler. I tried it today and it works just fine. I was a little worried at how sharp it would curl my lashes as the top part of this curler is just a solid thin plastic strip. But I didn’t use a lot of pressure and my eyelash curled easily. I kind of like that this is straighter than traditional curlers. It makes getting the outer edges of my lashes easier. There is an extra pad for the curler tucked snuggly into the bottom of the curler for future use.

I am so glad I went with the regular Topbox this month. I love that we got all makeup items! My kind of box!

    I got exactly the same box, but I don't think the blue eye shadow is going to work for me...I mean it might, but I might have to get creative! I'm glad I went with the regular Topbox too! I don't often like the curated ones...

    I feel the same about the curated boxes, I am pretty happy with the regular Topbox selections this month!
    I think if you pair the blue with a light brown shadow it might work for an everyday look. Might.. LOL I still have to try it.

    I got a similar box, everything was the same except instead of the LW eyeshadow, I got the Pari Colour Cubes, which I love because the shades are great and I don't really own pigments. I tried the eyelash curler but thought it was a bit odd, it seemed to do the trick though. I also love the Benefit gloss because it's non-sticky! As for the mascara, I haven't cracked that open yet because I already have too many that are open. I loved this month's box!

    I have to admit when I finally managed to get the curler out of its bag, it took me a little bit to realize I needed to flip down the the little black tabby thing on the back. HAHA what a dummy. At first I thought I got a broken one hehe. Now I gotta go see what colour Pari cubes you got!
