I have tried numerous BB creams and have found most of
them lacking. From what I have tested, I now view BB creams basically as tinted
moisturizers with some added skin benefits. I wasn’t sure what a CC cream was
to be honest with you so I had to look it up! CC creams are colour correctors;
they should improve the overall tone and appearance of your skin. So when I saw
favorable reviews of the Annabelle CC Colour Control Instant Perfecting Base
Natural Finish, I decided I had to give it a try. As I mentioned in my JuneFavorites post, I think it is amazeballs! LOL
Annabelle says that the CC Cream can be worn alone or
under foundation. I have done both. When I wear it alone, I will use a dusting
of powder over top just to make sure I didn’t have to worry about any shine
happening later. But for the most part, I use the Annabelle CC Colour Control
Perfecting Base as a primer. When I use this, I find I do not need to use a lot
of foundation as the majority of redness has been taken care of with the CC
cream (and it helps my foundation stay put). I really like the packaging. It has an airless
pump so no messing with squeeze tubes or jars. Plus it doesn’t shoot out product;
each pump gives a pea size amount which is just the right amount for me. The Annabelle
CC Colour Control Perfecting Base has replaced all my other face primers.

I don't have perfect skin, far from it. I have considerable ‘freckliness’ (yah I made that
up) happening on my cheeks, upper lip and chin area. I have always had this so
I know only a full coverage product is going to completely cover up all of
that. I really debated whether to show my imperfect
face but then I thought ‘hey how else are you going to see how well this
product works?’ So I got over myself. :P
In the picture below, the left side is my bare face with and
the right side with the Annabelle CC cream only. As you can see, the Annabelle
CC cream does help minimize the redness on my cheeks, blur my pores and even
out my skin tone over all. I even put some CC cream on my bottom lip to cover
up the uneven skin tone I have there. The CC cream does a pretty good job of minimizing
the brownish red discolouration happening there. It did not cover up all my
freckles but it did lessen their overall appearance. The Annabelle CC Cream feels
very lightweight. It does have a silicone-y feel when applying but it ‘dries’
down afterwards so it doesn’t feel like I have anything on. I actually found
that this is moisturizing enough to wear on its own with just my sunscreen. ... Don't scream when you scroll down okay?...
