SDM Haulage (for free!)
Who doesn’t like getting a ton of makeup for free? I sure
do! I went a little nuts and blew a huge chunk of my Shoppers Drug Mart points this
week but YOLO right?
For those that don’t know what Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM)
is, it is a huge Canadian drugstore chain. Think CVS or Rite Aid.
Shoppers Drug Mart had a redemption point event the past week
where you cash in 50000 points ($85) and get back 15000 points or 95000 points
($170) and get back 30000 points. I usually wait until they have a mega
redemption event where they bump up the cash value of the points ( ie: 95000
gets you $200) but I needed to get some moisturizer, foundation and a few other
miscellany so I redeemed 95000 points and went to town.
I went during my lunch break. I have to say it is hard
deciding what you want in under an hour LOL. I kept thinking should I get
this or that? But it was fun. Needless to say I was late getting back to work
HAHA. I knew four items I needed to get for sure; my La Roche Posay moisturizer,
the Lise Watier Teint Age Control Supreme foundation, my makeup wipes and my
old standby hair dye. The rest was just gravy.
Lise Watier Teint Age Control Supreme foundation in
Neutre
This was the big ticket splurge of this haul. I received a sample of this in my September Topbox. I liked the colour and I liked how
good it felt on my skin that I wanted to try the full size version of it. I
figured since this haul was basically free, I would splurge on this $48
foundation. Plus it is supposed to have a ton of skin benefit-y goodness in it. I think I will do a further review of this in the future after I have
had more time to play with it.
L’Oreal True Match Lumi (Healthy Luminous Makeup)
I was going to restock on my Revlon ColorStay Whipped
foundation but I wanted to try something new, maybe a luminous foundation. This
winter has been harsh on my skin so I decided to look for something that would
give my dry skin a healthy glow. I have only worn it once but so far so good. I
found the coverage to be medium. Plus I like the fact that it has SPF20 in it.
That’s always a bonus.
Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 001 Translucent
I just needed a translucent powder and I have heard good
things about the Stay Matte.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair
While I love my Maybelline Age Rewind concealer, I have
always wanted to try out the Fit Me concealer. So far I am liking the coverage.
Although it does seem to settle a bit in my inner eye area but I haven’t been
setting it so that is my next step.
La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV Rehydration Intense SPF30
I just ran out of the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac UV
moisturizer which I totally love. Since I have had such good experiences with
La Roche-Posay I thought I would give the Hydraphase UV moisturizer a try. I
need something super moisturizing for daytime use. This winter absolutely sucks! Sorry I didn’t
get a close up picture of that @-@ oops.
CoverGirl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss in Frosted Cherry
Twist
I just can’t seem to get enough of these LipPerfections!
This is watermelon pink gloss with a slight hint of shimmer.
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohls in Purple and Deep
Blue
I love the Scandal Eyes waterproof pencils and had grab a
couple more of these. These are super pigmented, creamy and are long lasting. I
dare say they rival the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. I think everyone should own a
few of these.
The other items I picked up was a Nicole by OPI polish in
Don’t Over Pink It, Neutrogena Cleansing Wipes (a staple for me), Garnier
Nutrisse Mousse (another staple) and some good old cotton pads.
I can’t wait to test all the new products out! It’s been
awhile since I went crazy buying makeup. I was so giddy on my way back to work.
Plus the SDM sales assistant who helped my with my spree gave me a ton of Lise
Watier samples to try out. I am loving the night cream sample. Which will
probably be on my next redemption haul... maybe.
Did anyone else redeem at SDM this week? Leave me a
comment, I love seeing what others get with their points!

ReplyDeleteNo kidding! I was giddy. Next time I am going to have to stalk the aisles the day before do some recon!
DeleteI love the Teint Age Control line! I have the skincare not the foundation, but it's really lovely!
ReplyDeleteI just finished my Night Cream samples. I am in love with it. I think it is on my next Redemption wish list! How did I not know about the Lise Watier skin care line before?
