March 2015 Topbox philosophy

I opted in for the philosophy Topbox this month because I saw the retinoid eye repair was part of the package. I had tried it before in a previous philosophy Topbox and fell in love. So picking out my March Topbox was an easy choice for me. Even though I cannot fathom spending $68 on an eye cream, I may be creeping towards that purchase soon. My eyes really need some help. Lately I have been looking sooo tired...well in all honesty, I am always tired but I certainly do not need to look it right?

I gravitate towards more milky cleansers. The AHA action provided is something this old gal can use to help freshen up her face for spring. I couldn’t find this on Sephora Canada but at philosophy.com this cleanser/mask is $35 USD

Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Eye Repair 15ml/$68

I love love this eye cream. I have sensitive skin in my under eye area. Most eye creams make my eyes Hulk out and get all Huge, Red and just plain old Angry. So to find one that works and doesn’t kill me, I am a fan! I use it mostly at night but on those ‘tired’ mornings I will dab a teeny bit on to reduce some puffiness. It works fabulously!

I have heard so many people talk about this cleanser but I have never gotten around to trying it. Cleansers are not something I drift towards when I am in Sephora. It’s all makeup on the brain when I am in there. makeup, Makeup MAKEUP!!! So I am glad to get the chance to try this one out. I really hope it can get the eye makeup off too. That would be an awesome bonus. Sephora has quite a few selection sizes for this cleanser so you don’t have to spend a fortune just to try it.

I love that Topbox brought a different version of the philosophy Topbox back. Like I said before, it was an easy selection for me. I like being able to explore the philosophy line before buying the full sized products.

tarte lights camera lashes 4-in-1 mascara

I always meant to pick up the tarte lights camera lashes 4-in-1 mascara when browsing through Sephora but never seemed to grab it. I always got sidetracked by all the awesome-y goodness going on in there. Basically, I lose my mind. Going into Sephora without a list is just a credit card beat up waiting to happen. So when I received this mascara in one of my Ipsy bags I was pretty stoked. tarte is known for it good-for-you ingredients in its products.

tarte lights camera lashes 4-in-1 mascara is formulated with olive esters that condition and protect lashes while containing no parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, or sodium lauryl sulfates.

The packaging on the full sized mascara is a purple python faux pouch encasing the mascara. The mini version has the faux snake print on it too. But it’s all about the formula with this mascara which is a bit on the thicker side. I kept it to two light coats otherwise I found things get a little spidery which is not a look I tend to go for.

I was so happy with the how those two coats left me with full fluttery lashes that lasted all day. Yes fluttery. It just made me want to bat my lashes all day. HA! I didn’t though. Well maybe a little bit on that first day...

There was no smudging but I did notice a tiny bit of flaking at the end of the day but I was sort of rubbing my eyes by then. This mascara came off so easily. No need for oil makeup remover here.

A plus, lights camera lashes kept my lashes curled all day (when I remembered to curl them). I wasn’t even expecting that. I was even asked what I was using! That always feels good when someone notices.

Final verdict: If you like full fluttery natural looking lashes, then you really need to give tarte lights camera lashes 4-in-1 mascara a go.
